About the Summer Season
During the summer season visitors take a horse-drawn wagon ride to access the entire site, including:

- Dockstader Blacksmith Shop
- Herrling Sawmill

About the Winter Season
- Historic areas are closed during the winter, including the Wadehouse Hotel, Blacksmith Shop and Sawmill.
- During the winter season, visitors have access to the Visitor Center and the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum.
- Closures: Visitor Center and Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum are closed on the following holiday dates: November 23-24, December 24-26, and December 31-January 1

Wade House is located on 240 acres near the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. Many pathways are level but somewhat rugged.
Due to the scale used in our historic buildings, access to the Wade House Inn and Herling Sawmill is somewhat limited. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals requiring mobility assistance. While no pets are allowed on the museum grounds, service animals are permitted for persons with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Wade House is located in Sheboygan county, which is nestled between the shores of Lake Michigan and the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest.
