Wade House
Wade House is a fun-filled day for family and friends to walk in the footsteps of their ancestors

It was an educational weekend at Wade House, as we hosted our first ever tour of the Greenbush Cemetery on Saturday, October 25th. We highlighted some of the prominent citizens that helped to shape our community over the years and their contributions to the place they were proud to call home.
We'd like to extend a huge thank you to our intern Morgan Garlieb, and to Deb Hellmer, for their roles in researching and coordinating the Walk. Morgan also did extensive work on the restoration of our Wade House Dollhouse, which was made by one of the residents featured in the Cemetery Walk, Helen Limberg.
We would also like to recognize and thank the Greenbush Cemetery Association for the opportunity to explore this space and share the stories of those laid to rest here.
Lastly, we'd like to show our appreciation for everyone who came out and participated in the tour, attended by 87 guests! Thank you for helping us to showcase the history of our community. ... See MoreSee Less

Such an interesting tour and a fabulous tour guide
This was an outstanding event! The lovely day provided everyone with the perfect backdrop to hear Greenbush history at the cemetery. Amazing turnout!
So many great things happening at Wade House! This is awesome!
Earlier this year, Wade House had the pleasure of hosting Jane Conway and Randi Ramsden, co-authors of the new book, Extra! Extra! Eat All About It! Recipes and Culinary Curiosities from Historic Wisconsin Newspapers. The co-authors spoke of the culinary landscape of 1870-1930 and provided us with insights on the food trends of the time period.
Today, Jane and Randi returned to Wade House to try out some new recipes on our historic cookstove. They worked on making an Election Cake, and pumpkin fritters. As you can probably imagine, the sights and smells were amazing!
If you would like to hear more from Jane Conway and Randi Ramsden, they will be speaking tonight at Kiel Public Library or you can follow them on Facebook to see upcoming dates for speaking engagements in Middleton and Wisconsin Rapids.
