GROUP EXPERIENCES

Return to the time of stagecoach travel and see a community where Yankee refinement met the Wisconsin wilderness. Visit the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum where you will be amazed by Wisconsin’s most extensive and diverse collection of carriages, sleighs, wagons and more! The museum contains more than 70 horse-and hand-drawn vehicles.

HIGHLIGHTS & FEATURES

HORSE-DRAWN WAGON RIDES

Let your group experience the thrill of a ride from an earlier time. Powerful draft horses pull you and your fellow travelers on a wagon through the woods as you ride in style from the Visitor Center to the Wade House historic site.

STAGECOACH HOTEL

Let a costumed interpreter guide you back in time as you tour the 27-room 1850s stagecoach hotel. Imagine life in an age of horsepower, when it would have taken five hours to make the twenty mile journey to the Wade House from Sheboygan or Fond du Lac.

BLACKSMITH SHOP & SAWMILL

Visit our historic blacksmith shop and observe an experienced blacksmith make and repair tools of the 1850s. Watch as our sawyer demonstrates the working of an up-and-down muley saw, the only one in the state of Wisconsin, within an authentic replica of an 1860s working water-powered sawmill.

WESLEY W. JUNG CARRIAGE MUSEUM

See Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons at the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum. Your group will observe the vast variety of horsedrawn transportation in horse and hand-drawn vehicles that span the period from 1870 to 1915 – the heyday of the horse!
